EAA Announces 2013 B-17 Spring-Summer Tour Schedule
EAA's B-17 Aluminum Overcast will return to the sky on April 25 at Zamperini Field in Torrance, California, kicking off the 2013 Experience History national tour. Torrance is first of more than 30 stops this year, following a long winter of maintenance work, repairs, and general TLC for the classic World War II bomber. Read more >>

Flyover for Meigs Commemorative Flyover Planned for Meigs on Easter
The dates March 30-31, 2003, are infamous to pilots, especially those who loved the former Chicago lakefront airport known as Merrill C. Meigs Field (CGX). 10 years ago this weekend, Chicago's mayor, Richard M. Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame Expands Scholarship Program
The Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame (WAHF) has expanded its scholarship program to include Wisconsin students enrolled in aviation/aerospace courses of study at out-of-state colleges and universities. This change applies to WAHF's $1,000 Carl Guell Memorial Scholarship, and its $500 Jerome Ripp Memorial Scholarship. Read more >>

EAA is seeking a Homebuilders Community Program Manager who will represent the needs and interests of the homebuilder community within EAA. That person will also be responsible for the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of programs targeted at the aircraft builder and restorer.

If you're an experienced aircraft builder who knows how to effectively share knowledge and can relate to the diverse segments of the homebuilders community within general aviation, this is a unique and exciting opportunity within EAA. EAA Chapter 431 to Host Electrical Systems Seminar
EAA Chapter 431 (Brodhead, Wisconsin) will host a weekend AeroElectric Connection seminar April 13-14, focusing on the design, fabrication, troubleshooting, and maintenance of homebuilt aircraft electrical systems. Course instructor is Bob Nuckolls, engineer, teacher, and author/publisher of Electrical Systems Information Texts for Amateur Airplane Builders. The seminar will be held in the Chapter 431 building at Brodhead Airport (C37). Fee for the weekend is $150 per person. (Regular fee is $185; EAA Chapter 431 is underwriting $35 of the normal cost as an incentive to area homebuilders.) Registration is limited to 20 participants, so sign up today. EAA Insurance Let EAA Insurance Plan Cover the Gaps
The other day I got an urgent phone call from an EAA member for whom I recently helped get airplane insurance on his new homebuilt. My first thought was that something had happened to his airplane, but he was calling to express a concern regarding the life insurance policy he purchased several years ago. The policy excluded coverage for any aviation activities. Read more >>

Vintage Aircraft Association Director Ron Alexander will be inducted into the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame on April 27 during the 2013 Annual Enshrinement Banquet at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, Georgia.
