Zenith Blog Update ZENITH BLOG: Special Guests From Zenith Welcomed
With two build sessions over the past week, there's lots of progress to report. But first we had a visit from Zenith Aircraft's Sebastien Heintz and Roger Dubbert, in town for a One Week Wonder planning meeting. They had the chance to see our project and help out. We are now about 90 percent done, with 50 percent to go! (As opposed to 90 percent done, 90 percent to go.) Read more >>

Bob Hoover Aviation Community Pays Tribute to Bob Hoover
Aviation's top personalities gathered on February 21 at the Paramount Studios Theater in Hollywood, California, to honor the legendary Robert A. "Bob" Hoover, for his 60-plus years of aviation excellence. The event, emceed by EAA Chairman Emeritus Tom Poberezny and attended by a veritable who's who from the aviation world, paid tribute to Hoover's incredible flying career during which he was a test pilot, fighter pilot, air show performer, aviation statesman, teacher, and mentor. Lanc 'Once in a Lanc Time'
The world's only two remaining airworthy Avro Lancaster bombers will be together this summer as the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum's (CWHM) prized Lanc will be flown to England to join the Royal Air Force's renowned Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) in August. Kansas Legislature Considers Bill Exempting Tax on Homebuilts
EAA is encouraging all Kansas EAA members to contact their state representatives and request support for H.B. 2542, which would exempt homebuilt aircraft from annual property tax assessment in the state. The bill recently passed through the House Committee on Taxation and will soon go to a vote on the House floor. If the bill passes the House, it will then move to the Senate for a vote. Read more >>

Innovators Aviation Innovators Sought for AirVenture Innovations Center
Those original concepts that could change the way people experience aviation, but only need visibility and an audience, have a new avenue to reach the flying community through EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014. James White United Honors EAA KidVenture Volunteer
James White, EAA Lifetime 641417, of Carol Stream, Illinois, was presented with a 2013 United Airlines Volunteer Impact Grant in honor of his volunteer work at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh's KidVenture. The $1,000 grant will help support the programs and activities at KidVenture, and are a direct result of his service in the KidVenture riveting booth sponsored by Van's Aircraft. Read more >>

Zenith Zenith Reaches 10,000-Plan Milestone
Zenith Aircraft Company announced recently it has now sent 10,000 sets of plans to aircraft builders in over 50 countries. While most plans accompany complete or partial aircraft kits, some go to scratch builders. Read more >>

AERO AERO 2014 Prepares for 22nd Annual Expo

SportAir Workshop Courses Return to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014
EAA's SportAir Workshops will offer a pair of sessions during the week of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014! The popular Van's RV Assembly course will be held Tuesday-Wednesday, July 29-30, while Electrical Systems and Avionics will be held Thursday-Friday, July 31-August 1. Each hands-on course is limited to 16 students. Builders will receive professional, expert instruction spread over two eight-hour days, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., in Paul's Aeroplane Factory. Registration is open now, so sign up today!

NOTE: There are still a few spots still left in the Composite Construction and Electrical Systems and Avionics courses slated for Watsonville, California, March 22-23. Register now.
